Project Overview: Radio Nisaa FM, in partnership with the Womanity Foundation, is setting up a network of like-minded media and other organizations, who will connect and collaborate on a virtual hub called “Nisaa Network”. Nisaa Network is the first network and multimedia platform that focuses on Arab women's interests; promotes women’s rights; and highlights the role of women in society through media contents that address both women and men in the MENA. 

During its pilot phase from 2015 to 2018, Nisaa Network will build an active partnership with 10 like-minded media outlets across the Middle-East and North Africa who will cooperate to produce, share and broadcast contents that contribute to women’s empowerment; as well as cultivate best professional practices together, conduct trainings, offer mentorships and coaching opportunities to foster the careers of female media professionals at all levels of the industry. 

Nisaa Network will use a variety of multimedia contents (in Arabic and English) produced by Nisaa and network members in the form of online audio and video streaming and broadcasting; blogs and opinion pieces; animation and edutainment productions; infographics; research studies and publications; investigations; etc. It will promote its contents beyond the multimedia platform and interact with its audience through social media, mobile apps, etc. Hence Nisaa Network will act as an innovative virtual communitarian hub for organizations working for women’s empowerment and will help them to join forces. 

Job description
Nisaa Network is looking for a Web Content Editor to be responsible for planning, creating, editing and publishing information on Nisaa Network multimedia platform website. 

Essential Functions: 
-Manage the daily update of the multimedia platform under the supervision of the Project Manager.
-Producing new content and editing it in an interesting and appealing manner.
-Direct the production of the website (the images, Video News Releases, Audio segments, and the radio program streaming).
-Develop strong relationships with local and international media networks, to ensure promotion of the Nisaa Network platform in the region.  
-Follow-up with stakeholders to ensure that content/production meets the goals of the project.
-Create new ideas and initiatives to promote the Nisaa Network project in the MENA.
-Communicate effectively on Social Media including Youtube, facebook and other similar tools.
-Assist the PM in Mapping regional stakeholders; organizing stakeholders’ workshop, and mapping and shortlisting potential candidates (media outlets) to join Nisaa Network.

Required Qualifications:
-A university degree, Preferably in Media and Communication.
-Minimum 3 years in experience in relevant fields.
-Excellent media writings skills in Arabic and in English.
-Fluency in English & Arabic (written, spoken and verbal communication skills)
-Excellent reporting skills in both English & Arabic.
-Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of word processing, design programs, and management of website.
-Strong multimedia and photography skills (including media editing skills) and social media experience.
-Team work spirit and ability to work under pressure
-Preferably female, but not exclusive

-Reports to the Nisaa Network Project Manager
-Needs to be available: 100% from October 2015.
-Duration: 1 year renewable
