Position: Software Development Engineer, Full Time, Ramallah - Westbank Palestine

Freightos is already helping some of the world’s biggest freight companies automate their operations. We’re looking for a Senior Developer to join our team in Ramallah.

Can you own tasks end to end and communicate updates to different stakeholders and management levels? Do you optimize for the customer experience? Do you strive to develop secure and responsive code and high performing APIs and services? 
We are looking for software engineers who love solving complex problems and enjoy the challenge of building systems that are critical for our customers and are used to generate millions of dollars. Our systems manage millions of pricing points, hundreds of thousands of quotes and millions of location codes. We are looking for engineers that can work under pressure and build defect free systems to respond to millions of quote requests and API calls. 

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to every part of the development and deployment cycle, including design, workload estimation, development, integration, documentation, testing and post production operations and support. To be successful the candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate must be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. 
We're looking for engineers who can get things done in half, or less, the time it takes an average software engineer in the industry. Our new hires are expected to help, collaborate and add value quickly while working with our current engineers. We work, and expect new hires as well, to work under tight schedules, deadlines and conflicting priorities, even outside working hours.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
-Excellent programming skills in Java or an OO programing language.
-Excellent Computer Science fundamentals, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
-Excellent communication, self-organization, time management and interpersonal skills.
-Must be a fluent bilingual (Arabic and English) with excellent reading, speaking and writing skills.
