Palestinian Farmers Union (PFU) is a non for proft organization that is committed to defend farmers rights for protection and representation in West Bank and Gaza.

PFU is willing to hire an Advocacy Officer to work at PFU office in Ramallah who will be responsible for supervising and executing advocacy events implemented by PFU in local districts as well as on national level. 

Duties and responsibilities 

-Hold a university degree in agriculture engineering, community development or any related eld. 
-Minimum 3 years of strong and proven experience in advocacy work preferably in agriculture related issues. 
-Considerable knowledge of agriculture sector in Palestine and good understanding of agricultural laws and policies adopted by PA. 
-Proficiency in writing, reading and speaking Arabic and English languages. 
-The ability to organize advocacy trainings in different parts of West Bank. 
-The ability to communicate efficiently with partners and farmers. 
-Strong competence to use computer and Internet. 
-The ability to write reports and follow-up activities. 
-Believes in PFU Mission and its partners 

-The ability to move within the Palestinian areas and to work under stressful situation when and if necessary.
-Excellent project management cycle skills and ability to coordinate multi task advocacy projects.
