Job title:Senior Civil  Engineer

Type of Contract:Consultancy Work

Duration:6 months Full Time

Duty station:Beit Hanoun - Gaza Strip

Travelling requirements:Possibility to travel to Jerusalem (only travelling expenses will be compensated)



Job objectives

Revision of design of hydraulic systems

Revision of tender documents and preparation of tenders and all related documentation

Design modification

Construction and supervision ensuring that projects are built according to design and normative requirements

Write intermediate reports in English

Supervision of the quality of construction

Guarding over the safety of the works

Ensuring of the respect of planning and of a compliant execution of the project.

Required qualifications

    



Education

Minimum bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering (Master’s Degree is preferable), from a reputable university



Skills

Strong analytical skills

Able to coordinate, supervise and manage a Water related works contract

Creative approach to problem solving

High level of interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiating skills;

Ability to produce professional written reports;

Ability to identify opportunities and to be innovative

Strong planning, organizational, and Technical skills

Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerized management information systems, spreadsheets, and e-mail



Driving license is required





Experience

At least 7 years’ experience in Civil  Works Management in similar activities



Language Required

Very good knowledge Arabic (European level C1)

Good knowledge of English, spoken and written (European Level B2)
