Save the Children is seeking qualified candidate to fulfill the following vacancy in its Ramallah Office:

Procurement Assistant - Position Ref.#: (Pro.A/WB/2015)

The post holder will support the Procurement Officer and programme activities in the areas of procurement, managing the supplier database, updating the procurement tracker, stock management and preparation of contracts / purchase orders for suppliers and services providers of the country office. 

Applications will be considered based on the following essential criteria:

University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar field. 
1 year of work experience in a relevant/similar role.
Written and verbal fluency in English.
Excellent computer skills (Excel , Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work productively in a complex and varied workload environment, and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to contribute to a small, proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with colleagues and provide support and advice, as necessary.
Ability to stay calm and work effectively in tense situations and under pressure, and in a multicultural environment.
Willingness, ability and flexibility to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies.
Understanding of Save the Children’s vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives.
