Al-Ibdaa for microfinance is looking for an experienced professional to be based in its Ramallah Office for the following position:

Job Title: IT specialist - Full Time
Location: Ramallah Office - West Bank

Job Summary:
IT specialist monitors and maintains the computer systems and networks of an organization. They may install and configure computer systems, databases and websites development, diagnose hardware and software faults, solve technical and applications problems. Also keeping update with the new trends and developments in technologies.
IT specialist makes sure that company’s computer systems are kept as reliable and efficient as possible. We’re looking for a responsive, highly productive professional who can work with.

Educational Qualifications:
BS/MS degree in computer science, Information technology, software engineering or related field.

Responsibilities and job functions:
-Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands.
-Manage daily operations of the IT department.
-Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction 
-Coordinate the needs of in-house IT experts and remote employees, vendors and organization branches. 
-Protect customer data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means 
-Assist with the installation of new hardware and software and help train employees on its use 
-Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
-Manage and oversee departmental quotas 
-Offer suggestions for possible upgrades and changes within the IT department.
-Other duties assigned by Director and/or Supervisor.

Experience and knowledge Requirements:

-A minimum of 4 years practical of related experience preferably in IT related fields.
-Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
-Excellent knowledge in Database Management systems DBMS (SQL, MySQL) is a plus.
-Excellent knowledge in web development modern techniques.
-Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
-Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
-Replacing hardware parts as required.
-Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
-Setting up new user’s accounts and profiles via email server configuration.
-Maintaining records of software licenses
-Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office required.
-Strong time management skills and experience of working towards unmovable deadlines.
-Strong analytical ability.
-Strong Networking skills.
-Establishes and revises database and code to retrieve data.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Arabic.
-Intermediate knowledge of Microfinance systems.
-Knowledge of data backups and disaster recovery operations.
-Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software and hardware.
-The ability to think logically.
