Managerial Accountant – Project Based: Expotech 2016

Introduction:

EXPOTECH 2016 is a major one week-long event that is held annually in West Bank and Gaza Strip, under the patronage of His Excellency President Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, to  expose the ICT sector in Palestine and to serve as an intermediate for discussing the state of art technological trends locally and globally within the following components: the IT Exhibition and the IT Conference Days, beside other activities such as Business and Technology Forum. Expotech 2016 is managed and organized by the Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies – PITA.

PITA is seeking a managerial accountant for its project: Expotech 2016; to work for one month as a full time or part time employee.
The managerial accountant will be reporting directly to the project manager, to be responsible for the following activities:

-Preparing contracts with the exhibiting companies in west bank and Gaza in cooperation with the project team in PITA.
-Invoicing the exhibiting companies based on the agreed terms and contracts.
-Collecting financial accounts from exhibitors and advertisers
-Insuring compliance with sponsors and donors financial policies, procedures and regulations. 
-Dealing with vendors and suppliers based on their contracts and received invoices. 
-Managing the financial payments for project vendors; suppliers; and HR.
-Keeping financial records and clear spread sheets for all project accounts; with all supporting documents; and record them in the accounting software.
-Managing the archiving and filling process in hard and soft copy formats for all project documents; based on the archiving structure of PITA.
-Reporting in bi-weekly basis the accounts status for each project component and prepare the needed reports requested by externals such as donors, sponsors, and auditors.
-Other tasks maybe requested upon special circumstances.

Requirements:

-Bachelor degree in accounting or finance or business.
-At least 3 years’ experience as project accountant; or managerial accountant; or project coordinator.
-High level communication skills through phone and personal meetings in Arabic and English
-Very good writing skills in Arabic and English.
-Well organized; especially in dealing with numbers, hard copy/soft copy documents, and contact information.
-Active and team worder.

Salary is based on experience; starting from $1,200.
