The USAID-funded Compete Project implemented by DAI aims to strengthen the competitiveness and export potential in the areas of Agriculture and Agribusiness, Stone and Marble, Tourism, and Information Technology.  The project is providing technical assistance to business service organizations in these sectors to improve sales, income, and employment. 

DAI is seeking highly qualified candidates for the following position:

Position 1: GAZA M & E COORDINATOR
Location:  Gaza 

Role 

M&E Coordinator will assist the M&E Specialist, the M&E Manager and Gaza Business Advisor in all monitoring and evaluation activities on Compete as required, and work with the Component Lead and other component team Business advisors members to implement project activities

Responsibilities:
 
-Maintain and track indicators in the project’s Performance Management Plan. 
-Reflecting the project’s activities and intervention on DAI’s Technical and Administrative Management Information System (TAMIS). 
-Work closely with the project’s technical team to monitor and track progress on project activities. 
-Work closely with the project’s monitoring and evaluation team to ensure high quality of data collection. 
-Assist the Monitoring and Evaluation specialist, the M&E Manager and Gaza Business Advisor in managing, overseeing, and, when necessary, modifying all project M&E guidelines and Performance Management Plan.
-Ensure that the program team and beneficiaries use appropriate evaluation forms and templates. 
-Design and conduct site visits/interviews for data collection, verification and program tracking. 
-Assist in overseeing the editing and revision of narrative reports after site visits, including sections on recommendations for the improvement and analysis of programmatic progress.
-Assist in Liaising with technical teams regarding site visit findings and follow-up to ensure that negative findings have been addressed or corrected.
-Prepare reports on progress of results indicators and assist with program evaluation as needed.
-Through data analysis and reporting, assist in developing lessons learned and success stories for dissemination to the project team.
-Any other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

Requirements: 

-Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in economics, business or related field preferred. 
-At least 3 years of relevant experience or Diploma in office management.
-Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
-Good knowledge of email and internet usage is required.
-High level of interpersonal and diplomatic skills required.
-Previous work experience in West Bank/ Gaza or the Middle East desired.
