Job Title:    HR & Accounting Assistant
Reports to:     Senior Accountant, Staff Accountant/HR Manager, CEO
Revision Date:    June 24, 2016

General Description
The HR & Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with administrative tasks related to Human Resources and Accounting. This position reports to the staff accountant in Ramallah, Senior Accountant in the US and the CEO.

Accounting Responsibilities 
-Ensure that accounting filing systems are maintained and up to date
-Ensure protection and security of files and records
-Ensure effective transfer of files and records
-Ensure personnel files are up to date
-Maintain fixed asset files under direction of staff accountant

HR Responsibilities 
-Maintain complete personnel files for all West Bank and Gaza staff in accordance with the PCRF HR manual
-Coordinate with HR Manager and Department Supervisors regarding employee hiring and termination procedures
-Coordinate with employees and HR manager to document employee time off requests and approval
-Other admin tasks and correspondence related to HR matters as requested by CEO and HR Manager

PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES
-Knowledge Of Accounting and HR Administration
-Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
-Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with regard to finance and HR information

Communication
-Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
-Ability to clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally and in writing
-Accurately prepares written correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional across languages
-Listens to others and accepts input from team members
-Presents to volunteers, staff and donors professionally
