The A.M. Qattan Foundation is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for a senior position of Director of Resource Development to work in its offices in Ramallah. Following is the description of this position:

	Job Objectives:
	-A senior level position with the main objectives of
	-Developing and implementing an effective resource development strategy
	-Preparing and managing implementation of the annual fundraising work plan
	-Overseeing and promoting the Foundation’s income-generating resources and facilities
	-Lend support, share information and coordinate with Program Directors and assigned staff in all matters related to resource development
	-Manage resource development staff, and streamline communication with the Director General.
	Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
	-Prepare and manage implementation of the annual resource development plan in coordination with the Director General, Program Directors and Director of Finance
	-Prepare the annual resource development budget, and conduct cost and expenditure tracking activities in close coordination with the Director of Finance and relevant staff
	-Manage funding partnerships, suggesting ways to build on these relationships, maximizing partners’ engagement, and identifying and attracting new funding partners
	-Represent the Foundation with donors and partners in coordination with the Director General
	-Oversee development of funding and partnership proposals and budgets in coordination with the Director General, Program Directors and the Director of Finance
	-Review and release of partners’ reports; ensuring that they are submitted on time and fulfill partners’ requirements
	-Monitor funding trends locally and regionally and adapt fundraising strategy accordingly
	-Plan, organize and evaluate fundraising activities and initiatives
	-Review and assess achievements and setbacks; identifying strengths and weaknesses and areas for development
	-Oversee and promote the Foundation’s income generating resources and facilities (e.g. café, audio-visual equipment) and ensure they operate efficiently and profitably
	-Oversee and promote rental of the Foundation’s facilities (e.g. theatre, conference hall, gallery)
	-Monitor, analyze and communicate resource development results to Director
	General on a regular basis
	-Gather users information and suggestions and respond to their complaints on the use/services of the different public facilities; including the café, gallery, conference hall,…etc
	-Oversee the content of communication materials for fundraising purposes in coordination with the Director of Communication and Public Relations
	-Oversee administration of the donors mailing list and data base
	-Manage resource development staff; conduct regular staff appraisals and identify their development needs
	-Prepare and present regular reports including those for the Foundation’s semi-annual and annual reports
	-Maintain organized hard and soft copies of all communication activities
	-Participate in management committee meetings
	-Any other work related activities
	Skills/Qualifications:
	-A bachelor degree in business administration or relevant field
	-Minimum ten years of relevant work experience with proven track record in management and resource development
	-Ability to proactively identify fundraising and income generating opportunities
	-Knowledge of development assistance and donor community in the Palestinian context
	-Familiarity with education and cultural sectors in Palestine
	-Strong organizational skills & ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
	-Excellent computer skills
	-Excellent proposal and report writing skills
	-Ability to travel
