Social Worker

General Description
Social Workers (SW) play a critical role in PCRF.  He/She is responsible for representing the face and visibility of the organization in Hebron District, identifying and managing medical cases for treatment locally and abroad, supporting humanitarian projects, and ensuring a high level of professionalism and transparency in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. 
Tasks and Responsibilities
Field Work
-Identify medical cases in need of treatment through networking in the geographical area under their responsibility
-Communicate the role and activities of the PCRF on a continuous basis by phone, email and other mediums to all public and private doctors, hospital administrators, local and international NGOs, charities, women’s organizations and local governments who deal with health care for children and sub-specialties
-Control the data for medical cases identified for treatment using a database system called netsuite
-Submit complete files to program coordinators which include medical reports, x-rays, photos, and social reports
Medical Missions
-Prepare complete medical files for patients and send them to the Social Work Coordinator
-Provide support to the international medical team
-Follow up with patients and the management team in the hospital after the mission is done.

Travel Abroad program (For cases to be considered for treatment outside of the country)
-Conduct home visits in order to evaluate the patient and check his/her eligibility to be enrolled in the program
-Prepare complete medical files for patients and submit them to the program coordinator
-Follow up with cases and prepare them for traveling and treatment outside
Sponsorship program
-Conduct home visits and prepare socio- economic evaluation for patients
-Prepare complete medical files for patients and send them to the program coordinator
-Follow up with cases after receiving services
Humanitarian Projects
-Conduct needs assessment and identify beneficiaries
-Prepare a narrative and financial proposal and submit it to the program coordinator
-Manage and run humanitarian projects in the field and provide appropriate monitoring and evaluation
Required Background, Experiences & Skills:
-Bachelor degree in social work, sociology, public health or any other related studies
-At least 2 year experience working in social work or other related fields
-Good command of English and Arabic languages
-Knowledge and skills in computer usage
-Reporting and documentation skills in Arabic and English languages
-Effective member of team and role model; demonstrates creativity in seeking better ways to do things and shares with team,and promotes high standards.
