The hotel manager provides overall leadership, guidance, and direction to the hotel management team as it strives to provide the highest quality in standards and services.
The General Manager oversees all aspects of the hotel operations including (guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, finances, team building, and staff development). The manager must be able to delegate responsibilities, organize complex projects, and establish priorities consistent with hotel objectives.
-Planning and organizing accommodation, catering and other hotel services;
-Setting and achieving sales and profit targets;
-Promoting and marketing the business;
-Analyzing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies;
-Managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure;
-Ensuring the quality of hotel services by respecting standards and procedures, to provide continual satisfaction for guests;
-Organizing the workload for hotel staff according to expected levels of activity;
-Respects internal procedures and deadlines, ensuring the reliability of any information passed on.
-Recruiting, training and monitoring staff;
-Dealing with customer complaints and comments;
-Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings;
-Ensuring security is effective;
-Carrying out inspections of property and services;
-Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
-Ideal candidate will possess a degree in management, hospitality services, business administration or other related field.
-A minimum of five years’ experience in hotel or hospitality industry required.
-Comprehensive understanding of the tourism sector in Jerusalem.
-Leadership, service minded, autonomy, well organized, adaptability and good listening skills.
-Proficient in Hebrew and English. A 3rd language is an advantage.
-Jerusalem ID holder.
-Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
-A friendly personality and a genuine desire to help and please others.
-The ability to balance customer and business priorities.
